Penguin is a Cat

This is Penguin. I like him. He's a good cat. Very gray. Pretty snuggly, but not in the summer; it's too hot to snuggle in the summer. He likes to snuggle up to my face and put his paws on my mouth and his eye in my nose. He stalks my other cat, Pearl, but not in a mean way; he just can't figure out what she is. He and my old dog, 11-year-old Xena (aka Hecky), play games of tag and tackle in the mornings while I'm in the bathroom brushing my teeth and putting my contacts in.

Penguin has this LOOK. You can insert Penguin into almost any scenario, and his expression remains the same.

He's really a good cat. Very gray.

Emily + Jeremy: Boettcher Mansion Wedding

This Golden, Colorado wedding was a joy to photograph. Emily and Jeremy got ready and hung out with friends at the Table Mountain Inn, and were married in front of family and friends at the Boettcher Mansion on top of Lookout Mountain, just minutes from the city of Golden.

Flowers were by Blooms Floral.

Catering was by Footers Catering.

This wedding was all about family and joy and fun and love—I had a great time with both Emily and Jeremy. Thanks to Robin Usagani for having me out to second shoot for him. He was great to work with.

Enjoy the photos!

Fog

I'm going to try to post more regularly. Lately I've been taking photos only for clients—and I do love my clients and really do enjoy shooting weddings—but I've been in a rut and haven't been shooting for myself at all in the past few months. I don't think I'll post every day, but I am going to make an effort to make more photos just for fun and post them more often.

To start with, here's one I made this morning while I went out to feed the horse. It was so foggy that it took me a while to find him. :)

Happy Friday, everyone!
