Green Mountain Red Angus Auction

Today is Saturday, so naturally I was at the Big Sky Elite Female Sale (Red Angus) at Green Mountain Ranch in Logan, Montana, about 10 miles away from MVF.



Some of these photos are a little redundant, but I picked each of them for their different details, so bear with me.

I would just like to point out that auctioneers are real and holy hell I had no idea what he was saying half the time. My (ready?) second-cousin-in-law was selling heifers today. His website seems to be under construction, but if you happen to be in the market for a nice Red Angus, check back frequently. :)



ANYway, I bought zero cows today (we're Hereford people) but it was fun to chit chat with the ranchers who were bidding. This was a smaller auction but there will be more in the next few weeks--next time look for the cute white Hereford faces. Yes, I go to cow sales for the cuteness.

Loose Ends

I'm tying up loose ends from this year's wedding season. Here are a couple from two recent weddings that I haven't blogged until now.

These were taken at Grace Marie and Travis's wedding back in August. I'll have to find out if Travis posted his pics from their honeymoon online anywhere: they're definitely worth checking out.

Caleb: Doggie Portraits

Brenda approached me and asked if I would do some nice doggie shots of her friend's pup.



Caleb is a strikingly handsome black lab, and black labs make me melty.

The goal of this shoot was to take a nice headshot-type photo of Caleb so Brenda can frame it and present it to her friend for his birthday.
