Addy and Her Peeps

Can't think.... way too sleepy! I have been packing and cleaning and trying to meet up with friends before I leave on Monday, so obviously the packing and cleaning have taken a back seat! I was so glad to meet up with Kevin and Katie today. They live in Seattle and took the ferry over so we could all have lunch and have a photo shoot of Addy, their sweet, sweet little mutt girl. I have a lot of things to say about these people, but I'm too tired! I think it's good enough for now to say that I love them so much and since I've known Kev forever and he is one of my closest friends in the entire universe, I love that he and Katie are such a great match. They are just the neatest people in the world, and I was so excited to be able to do photos for them!

I'm probably not making much sense right now... really, I'm soooo exhausted from all the moving preparations, so I will just leave you with their photos. I hope you enjoy!

How pretty is Katie's hair?!?!?

Night night. This was - no joke- the last post before the trip to Colorado. I am not lying this time! There are a lot of images from today's session that I want to post, but I'm very, very sleepy and I have a ton to do tomorrow!

I love Kev and Katie to pieces and I really hope they like these!

Seriously

This is the last post before I leave for Colorado! Probably. I'm planning on turning off my internetz on Saturday, but the trouble with that is I have a mini-shoot with Addy the awesome mutt this weekend and I will really want to post some images from that. So anyway, this is the last post before I leave for Colorado, but there might be one more. ; )

feb 23-32

These are from the same day as the previous post, of course. Sorry if you get tired of looking at branches and things!

feb 23-26

There will be more dog pics soon- like I said, I have the Addy session tomorrow, and I already have a couple planned for when I get to Colorado. Don't worry- Char and Wilbur will be all over the blog still (we have lots of new hikes to go on!) but I am definitely looking forward to being on the dog-crazy Front Range.

feb 23-18

Oh hey! Some of you already know this, but I have to share with those who haven't: I sold my washer and dryer, because my new place has them. And since I was kind of on a time crunch, I sold them for a ridiculously low price. And because I know what it's like to not have any money whatsoever, I lowered THAT price and made them even cheaper AND I included the mattress set for free.

Then I found out that they didn't actually belong to me in the first place. LOVELY! Apparently they belonged to Navy housing so basically I'm just peddling military goods for rock-bottom prices. Call if you need cheap nukes.

My dad is leaving Colorado tomorrow and will get here on Sunday night. We'll load up the two pickups, then I'll put him to work sweeping out the garage. We'll stay in the (empty) apartment on Sunday night, wear the dogs out as completely as possible on Monday morning, bribe the white-gloved housing inspector in the afternoon, then head to Richland for the night. The next morning I get to meet the talented Mike Kloth, of Michael Kloth Photography. Tuesday, Dad and I will drive as far as the dogs can handle, hopefully to Evanston, Wyoming. By Wednesday night I'll be in Colorado, ready to hit the ground running!

The Other Last Post Before The Move

It was monsooning when the mutts and I left for our hike today, so I left my camera at home, despite my friend Peter's efforts to convince me that a little rain won't kill it. But the light was so pretty and the rain let up a bit, so when we got home I ditched the dogs, grabbed my camera and headed back to the ponds to see what I could see.

feb 23-29

I know, I said I wasn't going to blog anymore before the Big Move, but... well, I guess I lied. :( Sorry.

Whoopsie:

feb 23-21

Don't worry, the Mutt-Mover is still on dry ground.

feb 23-36

A little, teensy tiny part of me is going to miss the PNW weather. I actually like rain, but I am definitely looking forward to actual seasons, where you actually have to wear coats and things like mittens and Carhartt overalls. Wait, what? My overalls aren't hott? Whatever.

feb 23-27

If your name HAPPENS to be Tomas B, and you HAPPEN to be a Swedish pilot, and you HAPPEN to be living in Dubai right now and you HAPPEN to be reading this, I reallyreallyreally want those Eccles Pass photos, you big goober. Pleaseandthankyou.

feb 23-5

(I'm so subtle.)

feb 23-11

My brain hurts. If you have never had the pleasure of having the military "assist" you in your move across state lines (to a state that they don't have on file)... you really haven't lived! It's waaaaaay too much fun, because nineteen people tell you twentythousand different things and then you have to go to "moving meetings" and fill out thirty pounds of paperwork and then you have to click your heels together three times and turn around in a circle while touching your nose and OMG.

No more talky-talk. Just pictures of things that look neat.

The Stella Session, And A See Ya Later

feb 21-1

Stella wanted to eat my hand, and the camera, and also my foot, but other than that, we had a great time!

feb 21-5

feb 21-2

This is a super-short post; I am a crazy lady with all the packing and moving and selling stuff! Tonight I sold my mattresses and washer and dryer. Apparently I have "SUCKER" written all over my forehead because I like people too much to stick with my original prices. Hey, $50 will get me to... yeah.... not really that far at all. Shoot.

feb 21-4

The dogs are also unimpressed with my negotiations. Without a sofa, they are forced to snooze on the floor. Very sad.

This is probably my last post for a week or so. :( I will miss you all! The road trip begins next Monday, and I have nine gazillion things to do before then!

I am definitely looking forward to being back on the Front Range, though. Be sure to book your sessions soon- sessions booked for March and April will enjoy a $50 print credit! See you soon!

Cabin Fever

My little pack and I are moving to Colorado in about 10 days. This means lots of packing and cleaning, which makes Charlotte a little twitchy.

feb 14-41

I've been hauling stuff out of the apartment all week and I don't think the dogs are crazy about it. They are used to having enough sofa space for everyone, but now the three of us have to snuggle awfully close on the loveseat.

feb 14-37

We're really going to miss the trails near out house, and especially the pond at the bottom of the hill.

feb 14-27

And we'll miss the mossy stuff that grows everywhere.

feb 14-30

And Wilbur hopes there will be lots of things to pee on in Colorado. I told him there aren't as many trees there and he hopes I'm wrong.

feb 14-26

"Where are the trees? Maybe they're just tiny."
feb 6-11

feb 14-21

Charlotte is very much looking forward to the road trip. She likes road trips because they mean the opportunity to be very naughty and obnoxious and then she gets sedatives. It's fun.

feb 14-22

"Are there tennis balls in Colorado?"
feb 14-17

This is Wilbur's friend Titus. Those two have so much fun together. Wilbur wants a backpack like the one Titus has.

feb 14-7

I think I'm going to need a sedative, too. Can you imagine riding for 1400 miles in a vehicle with a dog who gives you this look for hours on end? No, no you cannot. But I can.
