This morning Greg and I operated as Team Onion Basket and drove out east to the next county to shoot a family farm.

Greg took this one:

Meet Punkin:

The other half of Team Onion Basket is a tad on the city-slicker side, and I forgot to warn him that, according to equine legend, camera flashes EAT HORSES.

You know, I think Greg took most of these chicken shots. I think Greg has a knack for chicken photography.

This is Lexi:

She's a Thoroughbred/Mustang cross from California. If you want to learn about how to read BLM mustang brands, here's a link to a quick read about it.

Sweet Mr. Muttly:

Muttly has two boxer siblings, Piper and Johnny. I'm still going through the Piper v. Johnny Wrestling Match, but wanted to get at least a few from today up on the blog before bedtime. PIPER AND JOHNNY. WE DIDN'T FORGET ABOUT YOU.

Diego, the farm's Head Wrangler:

To Natalie and Ted, thank you guys for inviting us out this morning, and for all the laughs. I can't wait for you to see the photos of you guys trying to catch the chickens in their coop. Oh, and THANK YOU for the eggs. I can never eat grocery store eggs again; you've spoiled me.

LOVE the shot of Muttly... and what a great name!

When I shot some horses a couple weeks ago, my friend Traci also took some photos with her point and shoot. She learned her lesson when it came to the horses and the flash!
There were actually three horses out that day but I only got to shoot two because she freaked one out so bad. : (

I love all of these, but especially the chicken shots! I'm not sure I've ever seen a chicken photographed so nicely. ;)
