Solstice

Today we celebrate the shortest day of the year.

dec21-5

Charlotte is celebrating the shortest legs of the year.

dec21-6

Also, she would like to know whose idea it was to play with the tennis ball in 8 inches of snow.

9.21.08- srsly thro it

The snow has been coming down all day long, and I was a little afraid to take my new baby- I mean lens- out in the weather. When I did have it out of its dry, cozy backpack, I had superfast fingers so I could get it back to safety, and I'm afraid the composition and stuff on these is pretty wonky, but at least you can see our snow.

dec21-8

dec21-2

While I was climbing through thorns to get to these rose hips, Charlotte and Wilbur were rolling around in the snow like wild little piggy dogs.

dec21-3

And that is all I have to say about that.

Happy happy Solstice Haley!
It's weird, with the snow this day seemed brighter than most days leading up to it.

You take such good photos. Especially today's batch - I LOVE trees covered with snow, especially the zoomed out ones with a dog. :)

Tandy needs some of that snow to romp around in - she'd absolutely love it.

I love that first one of Wil and the snowy landscape. He looks like he's on a long snowy journey through the mountains...
Luckily you are actually there to keep him sustained with treats!

LOve LOVE the first photo with the trees and the dog in the foreground...stunning! You made me gasp outloud.....I would love to purchase a copy of that print for myself if you are willing.....when I visited Seattle, (first time in the Pac Northwest) I fell in love with those trees...to see them covered in snow is stunning

Love your pics as always, but I have to ask, where did you get your gloves??? I've been looking for some like those!

Julie, I got those at Target. I was looking for a pair to deconstruct so I could knit my own... but I can't bear to take them apart because I do love them.
