Wilbur and I had a serious talk today. He is a very good listener.
Those eyes! Those little teeth! That lower lip! OMG!
I'm moving in the next few months, and trying to decide where my little pack will be the happiest. As far as I know, Wilbur's never really seen snow (I mean real snow, not peninsula snow). Charlotte loves snow. She started foaming at the mouth as soon as I told her we are definitely moving to a place where "mild" means 20 degrees.
See that big blurry spot on the left side of the frame? That is not a giant snowflake, or a tiny foggy cloud; it is a goober. Somedog, I think it was Charlotte, goosed my lens right before I took this picture.
Last week I was lucky enough to have family out here for Thanksgiving. Then two days later, I had more family come up to see me, only they aren't real family, they're fake family, but really they're just as good. I didn't take any pictures of their visit (we spent the day roaming around Seattle and then ate the. best. pizza. evah.), and the only pictures I have of them are from pre-digicam days. We did reminisce a little bit about the days of midnight beer at the Pearl Street Pub, slapping rude drunken strangers, grumpy ex-coworkers with sugar gliders and hot pants (I know!), snow-plow-worthy drives down I-90 to Moab, and the White Trash Halloween Bash, but as you can imagine, those pictures are better left safe and un-scanned in my photo album in the spare bedroom.
No, none of that has anything to do with my dogs, but I thought I'd give you a break from all the dog talk. I can still subliminally force dogs on you while posting pictures of them, even if I'm talking about something else, you know.
Kind of like Wilbur can send subliminal signals to his new Wildthing.
Anyway, my friends, who are blessed with creativity, sarcasm, and love (for real!), are pretty much ridiculously awesome. Josh has his very own comic strip, and Adrianne is an aspiring fashion designer (you can imagine how pretty I felt when she was talking shop with a designer in Seattle- I was kind of wearing...um... jeans and my Carhartt sweatshirt and oh yeah- a baseball cap). They have a increasingly toothless cat and have I mentioned how awesome they are?
Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that my pizza had buffalo mozzarella and honey crisp apples on it and OMG that is a magical combo.

I have the cutest "granddogs." And, yay for honey crisp!!
Wilbur looks like a puppy in the 5th picture. He's got puppy fuzz :)
Personally, I miss Pearly Pants. This blog definitely has an issue with species bias.

You are getting too good, hay. I can't possibly keep up with you!!!
hee hee... you crack me up!
Your posts are hilarious. Not to mention the awesome pics. :)
And I was expecting pictures of the mozzarella and apples, silly me! Still it sounds yummy and your pictures and your dogs still look great! I've never seen that kind of snow either, I hope they (and you) enjoy it!
come to wisconsin...it sometimes snows here--if sometimes means november to april...
If you're thinking Wisconsin, why not IL? Then you can photograph Sophie. :)
I hope you never stop taking pictures of your dogs!
And have you tried pineapple and cashews on your pizza?
Barb, I can't decide if that sounds awesome or repulsive. I like both cashews and pineapple, and I love pizza, so I guess it's worth a shot.
Mom/Carol, yes, you DO have the cutest granddogs. And they want you to come visit.
Carolyn, Wilbur has puppy fuzz and also puppy farts, even though he is grown up. They smell like puppy farts, and I love them.
US, Pearlie prefers to be the enigma of the blog. And of real life. Except in the morning, I know it's her because no one else licks my eyelids.
Em- Stop it. You are way better than me and the only difference is that I post like every single shot I take and that's not fair because it makes all yours look perfect. ; )
Tracy and Julie, I think we would have fun together, if we were to meet in real life. I laugh a lot, too!
Erica, food is third on my list, right after animals and beer. I will take more food shots, especially when the title of my post makes me hungry.
Mighty Jo- no thank you. ; )
Montana is cold enough for me- you all have wicked wind, if I'm not mistaken.
Sorry for the mass addressing of all the comments, but I had something to say!
