Remember a few days ago when I said Wilbur was camera-shy and elusive? He changed his mind.
I have spent a lot of time the past couple days picking the wonderfully awesome brains of Furrie Fotographie's mastermind in regards to printing, canvases, lenses, and just her general awesomeness. You should stop by her blog sometime, especially if you live in Florida and your furrie friend needs a photo shoot!
She gave me some ideas about prints and other products to offer to clients, and I'm hoping to be able to offer those within the next year. For now, I need more practice behind the lens! If you live on the Kitsap peninsula in western Washington, I am available on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons to photograph your dog free of charge. All the digital images will be yours to keep, and if you want prints, well, we can talk about that, too! Hit me up via email if you're interested! I'd love to meet you and your furry pal.
Well by golly, I think I'm all talked out for today! Which is actually pretty funny, because the only conversation I've had today was about tapeworms and as you can imagine, that conversation didn't go very far.
I am convinced, by the way, that I have some of the stranger conversations of anyone I know. Do you ever do that? Start blabbering about something that Really. Doesn't. Matter. and then kind of cock your head to the side and go "WTH? Do I actually give a flying- I mean a rat's bum-oley-holey?" And then it really makes you laugh? Yeah, me too! I call them "corn poo" conversations.
What's that you say? I'm talking jibberish? Yeah, I know.
Strange disclaimer- yes, Wilbur's eyes really ARE that color! I know! Kind of creepy/reallyreally cool!
This might be, I think, the most pointless blog I've ever written. I mean, not the "I'll take pictures of your dog" part. That part was VERY important! I mean the corn poo part. I just remembered that my grandmother is in CO this week, and will probably be reading this. I leave it up to my mother to educate my grandmother about corn poo. I'm funny like that!

sometimes a little corn poo can be fun...i find it happens to me if i haven't gotten enough sleep or have spent too much time without adult conversation & then suddenly get access to adult interaction...huh, no wonder the jehovah's witness stopped dropping by my house....
not having anything at all to do with corn poo--i LOVE your photography!! i can't take pictures by boy howdy do i love looking at pictures. keep it up!
& thanks for the hair tips!!
I would take a trip up there just for you to take pictures of my dogs if I could! We could talk tapeworms, fleas, weird dog behavior, you name it!
Wow! It's been a while since I visited your site and your pics are amazing. Your developing so fast. You really know how to bring out the personality of the dogs. We had a dog picnic fundraiser over the summer and brought a professional photographer to take dog pics. They we so bad, it's a big bummer cause you can't get those moments back. I'll have to see if your available next year. If you not a big wig by then and out of our measly price range!
Really nice work.
jo- maybe that's what it is- lack of sleep. And most of my interactions are with dogs.... maybe I need to get out more?
diane, you know you would have a place to stay out here! We would have to go to Poulsbo and eat at Sluys'. And hold the tapeworm convo until AFTER the donut!
lol- jarna I JUST posted on your blog! That is so weird! If you are ever in the Silverdale area, please let me know- I'd LOVE to do a Shiloh shoot for you!!! I am free for a long while yet- lol! Give your pooch a BIG smooch for me.
I was just over to at Jo's journal and saw you comment and screen-name, after that I just had to check out your blog. Glad I did. I see you love of the furry creatures equals mine. I have a working dog Pickles (I'm deaf). Who is simply my hearts delight. Corn poo...I'm going to have to remember that. I do have those conversations more often that I admit *winks*. Unfortunately I live in Upstate NY or I would gladly take you up on your offer. Have a grand day hon! (Hugs)Indigo
I seriously do know how to use the word your instead of a simple you...sigh...that my friend is the result of typing way too fast. (Hugs) Indigo
Her's another piece o' advice... when you name your business, make sure you name it something that isn't spelled all crazy! I've had more people misspell it... *sigh*
LOL... that's my hint to you that the spelling and the link are wrong in your post. : )
But thanks for mentioning me! You really didn't have to... I'm happy to help you out anytime! As you think of more questions, feel free to throw them at me. I may or may not have an answer but I'll try!
Tracy- I fixed it! When I did that link the other day, I KNEW I should have tested it... and of course, I got distracted. Whoops!
Thanks again for your help!
I've been practicing recently with my camera on my kids, but your blog makes me think I should go practice on my dog! Thanks for inspiring! Your pictures are great!
